  1. They want them to slowly bleed out. On one side regulations, on the other machinery producers corrupting their equipment. Both the environmental restrictions and limiting rights to repair are probably lobbied by the same group intending to monopolize food production. If government will not give them upper hand on any front, so they could comply on another, I wish this government the worst.
