I am not a fan of this repairability index solution. This sets a space for further manipulation and miss information. We need to let alone some illusive solutions and focus on anti trust laws. Manufactures has to be stopped from creating cartels and making it impossible to obtain replacement parts. If we have parts, we will find a way how to use them, how to remove glue and screws. Problem is that Samsung, Apple and others force chip manufactures to exclusive deals, not allowing them to sell basic components to third party repair shops.
