  1. This is why wood lands are not the best thing for climate. They store massive amounts of CO2, only to release it when conditions are right. We need more steppes with large grazing mammals. Grass can absorb more CO2 and put it under ground. As to Greece, without prescription fire, the story will be just like in California or Australia, where we get those blazes. Plants are used to fire, and some species cannot germinate without it. But they can wait. what we get is one uncontrolled blaze every 10-20 years instead of small controlled fires every year.
