@marialana3502 You decide, it is always your choice, that is why residence can be permanent. No one should be forced to become a citizen. People who feel any responsibility towards the country they connect their future with will take the best decisions. In my opinion Brits simply abuse that system. Even if unconsciously, this is not what we want. They never assimilate, they create closed community and influence local agenda, and when something is not great, they just dump the spot. People from other countries will settle down sooner or later, but British or Americans they are too proud of their passport.

@dfuher968 I know, I know, most of them are shitty and the rest of them are brainwashed to believe in no other choice. Never the less if one wants to stay, there always is a way.

I feel for you people, but do not worry. There is nothing lost here, if you choose to live in some place, there are always options to obtain the citizenship, EU is not Emirates. Even them are easing their regulations now.

@marialana3502 residence is temporary, it is more like a probation before you can become a citizen. We need to have people voting on bills that directly affect their life. My friend here in Cyprus is here for the past several decades, always resident, voted for Brexit, doesn't plan to move back to UK.
