  1. Russian move to use cheap drones, for whatever targets, regardless how savage and unethical, is a very effective countermeasure to any sanctions thrown at Russians. Hyper sonic rockets are expensive enough to render them useless in a long run. What is a bit surprising, is a lack of even cheaper solution to the drone problem. I would guess that a small raspberrypi guided missle would be able to get to them just by following the engine sound signature, and with european backing, developing a dedicated fpga would be a matter of weeks if not days.
