  1. Journalists should cultivate some sort of peer review. There is many cases they caused irreversible damage by misrepresenting facts. In the late 90' a father of my friend lost his bank because of a frivolous articles claiming that the bank lost liquidity. People got scared, hit the counter to pull out their funds. Everything because a large unpaid loan on which there was a collateral the paper wasn't aware of.
