  1. Separatism will always provoke fear. Especially when groups are large. Turkey CLEANSED half of Cyprus cities off native non Muslim population. Before that Greek Cypriots did many bad things to Turkish Cypriots in fear of loosing independence... finding and being able to trigger a source of fear is one of basic mechanisms of mind control.
