I don't have much to do with my country of origin, but I kept my top up phone number for years. About 3 yrs ago when I visited PL I wasn't able to call anyone from the airport, I took a taxi and later on I found out that every top up number was cutoff and must be registered with the gov, because of terrorist threat. I don't believe it helped to caught any terrorist, but what I know is that this year I was contacted on my top up number by the gov, requesting my participation in census, threatened later with of up to 20000€ fines if I refuse to do so. This is exactly what I afraid with regards to anyone tracking our every step.

@RovexHD I have nothing against self control and sharing some of my privacy with gov. It is important thou how it is done. There must be consent and common purpose. Here they take something from you to use it in a sneaky way to get more and they threat you if you disapprove. They want my info to their census, I have one line - I'm not doing it this way. I remember previous one, when I was still in PL, nothing wrong with that. Didn't improve my life in following years in any way, but no harm done.
