The sun blind opening "the wrong way" has a benefit in my eyes, the driver can be shaded if its very sunny but the passengers can still get some sun if they want, and it frees up rear headroom

The genesis coupe and convertible concepts to me look more like prototypes that they don't want to admit are prototypes because they're not sure if they're financially viable to make yet. They have production wheels, lights, exhausts, door handles, panel work, interiors, everything about them looks production ready and not "purely a concept" like they claim in press releases.

SAIC is already a bit confusing to me with how they do branding (Naming cars Maxus, MG, etc but still putting "SAIC MOTOR" as an extra badge on the trunklid) but GWM is probably even more confusing since they put the GWM text or logo on the back of some of their cars like this instead of saying Haval, while the front just says Haval. Same goes for Ora, Wey, Poer etc. Some of them have just the brand logo, others have GWM on the back, then in some markets they're called GWM Haval, some just Haval and they've changed naming practices multiple times within just a couple years at a time. It'd be one thing if it was 100% clear that GWM is the brand and the model is a Haval H6, but then the front says HAVAL in massive letters, so.... Yeah it's weird.

They're probably using Leapmotor as a stopgap until they develop cheaper technology of their own, they're gonna assemble some Leapmotors in at least Poland, maybe elsewhere in Europe and it'll be sold as a budget EV brand. I can't imagine Stellantis holding onto them forever.

9:48 Unfortunately on lower end versions of this that cheap hard plastic continues up to the tops of the doors. Which makes no sense, cheaper cars from BMW like the Mini Countryman get a fabric covering even for the back seats, and the cheapest X3 is by no means cheap, so why it's upholstered like a Suzuki is beyond me

I suppose if this more minor update is still new in Australia, the facelift that got unveiled a month or so ago is gonna take a long long time to get down under?

"Better EX30" anything is better than an EX30. Okay I'm being mean, I'm sure it has good features but I got up close and personal with it at a car show recently and it has genuinely no trunk or back seat space. It might as well be a two seater, it's ridiculous.

Here in Finland we get an electric Maxus version as the e-Terron 9, definitely more premium oriented than this LDV version and obviously electric. Side and rear are the same but the front looks totally different, really cool and it's got a massive frunk.

@YZJB I assume they think so because Renault is leaving New Zealand and Renault said already years ago that the Australian market is too hostile to sell EVs in

27:00 This car has been sold in Europe (some countries) for a couple years now as the Seres 5, not sure if some countries will now get the Aito version or if they're just showing it off at the show, some Chinese manufacturers bring cars to European shows they have no intention of selling, like I saw M-Hero at a European show recently while they have absolutely no intention of bringing that over cause that's a Dubai vehicle if anything. I believe they decided to market it as a Seres and removed all Huawei references due to Huawei's reputation in the west.
