  4. It depends on person to person but personally I'd find it horrifying that parents would have more control on what their child will turn out like, making them a tool for themselves. Children are people, not your property so the kind of parents that force their kids to do this and that and study that and this so they're happy will just design their kids to be exactly the way they want. Absolutely no individuality what so ever.

  9. Just as a final example: The context is the most important. In the USA, right after the africans were freed from slavery, white people had to go and make fun of them by painting their skin and making fun of black people. This didn't happen in most european countries for example, so the context is different, and how for example in germany doing the nazi salute would be massively offensive and you'd get massive backlash, in for example another country you could do it as a joke.

  22.  @fatboyRAY24  In Finland at least accrued wealth through holdings, interest, increased value of assets are all considered taxable income and are thus taken into account. Part of the reason we don't have that many rich people cause they leave for that very reason.

I'm gonna try to avoid any debate on other points but if someone didn't have to pay taxes the employers have no reason to pay them as much money -->> people end up with the same amount of money anyways in practise Example: I live in a country that uses the same currency as another country, the two are approximately the same considering quality of life, in my country I have to pay 50% taxes but in the other they have to pay nearly none. My friend who lives in that country has a similiar job as me, but after taxes our salaries are the same, whereas before taxes I'm paid twice as much. If there were no taxes to be paid there is no reason for that money to go around.

My question is, how can you tell whether something is a legal kidnapping or an illegal one? They're under no obligation to identify themselves to outsiders so if ICE nabs someone off the street into an unmarked vehicle in plain clothing what would happen if a passerby called the police, would they get in trouble?

Here in Finland there are SO MANY different forms of welfare checks you can get and almost all of them are based on the same understanding of reasonable expenses, and amount to the same amount of money in your bank account at the end of the day anyway, and yet people have to jump through hoops to qualify for them and find out which one specifically they qualify for and then get penalized if they accidentally get the wrong one and the state even has investigators to look into people's lives to see if they're using the welfare on "valid things" and making sure they don't make undisclosed income. If you don't qualify for anything else or if you only get a little bit of something else, you can get the basic last resort income. So why in the absolute mcfuck if everyone is entitled to that if nothing else, do they force everyone to jump through all those hoops first and humiliate poor people when it would be cheaper and faster for everyone to just approve them for a basic income in the first place?! And if you say "well yeah but then the welfare office employees would be unemployed" and well now they'd have a guaranteed income, wouldn't they?
