Comeonuseyourbrain You know what would be friendlier to the environment than soft touch plastics yet feel and look infinitely nicer than bare hard plastic? Sustainable textiles. I do not know why more cars don't use textiles, it's lovely.

@HambertHM If you lean on the door on a long trip while driving for instance and the door panel is hard, your arm (if you're not wearing a thick jacket or something) might get sore. Don't know why you'd care about soft touch on the dashboard, though for instance unless it significantly affects sound absorption.

The ID.3 isn't the only one but why are even now the only colours available for EVs just light blue, red, black and white?

@BobRossRightHand "but for touch controls, how often do you change you side mirrors or temperature?" Unless you wear the exact same clothes while you drive despite the changes in the seasons or the temperature/moisture changes between days (and the time of the day) or you live somewhere where there are no seasons (western Europe, California, etc), you'd think you'd want to change the temperature, defrost/foggers and the fan speed often enough for touch controls to be irritating.
