It's one of the bad sides of the car industry, consumers can't really affect what brands do with tech like this so they can be as anti-consumer as they want especially as car journalists are afraid of being critical. The lack of real buttons is cost cutting because they can skip the r&d on the individual components.

  4.  Ib7 h  Sure but why do we need AI in cars? Besides autonomous driving, that is. You can tell your car to turn the heat down but you can do it yourself and it'll happen like 20 times faster?

  5. So they're going from a safe, high up screen to a screen at an angle where the sun will glare onto it and you have to look down to operate it? Seems like a really bad decision but of course it's easily marketable as the future. This is what I don't like about the car industry, the manufacturers can do whatever they want even if it's anti-consumer because the customers are not going to switch brands and every brand will participate in those practices, so we just have to "Get used to it", touch controls for everything in the case of this video. I get that brands don't want to work with naysayers but journalists should really be more critical of brands.
