It definitely looks more presidential/official than Bentleys or Rolls Royces which both have become more show-offy recently. I'd say it has a different demographic certainly.

There's absolutely nothing about this car that says "SUV". It's just a hatchback.
370
A hot hatch with ACTUAL vents? What is this?!
351
Never thought i'd say this but that's one desirable peugeot! If the new 5008 is anything like this, hello peugeot dealership!
224
@awaisbaigg The model X sure is an impressively fast minivan but what's it got to do with SUVs?
172
One thing about the interior is if you don't option the passenger screen, you'll have a hideous blank piece of black plastic in it's place instead where it's really really obvious that you cheaped out, it's horrible. Same issue on the Audi A6 E-tron and Q6.
135
The dash looks better than that in a Volkswagen
114
Does anyone else think the rear end looks a lot like a Škoda now? The shape of the lights, the spelled out lettering and the license plate indentation. Anyway, overall I'd say better but the front looks much emptier. Also I'm happy to see Mat finally doing in person new car looks again!
112
This is practically like racing a Lotus Elise and a Cadillac Escalade
110
BMW turns into "bemari" in Finnish because if we said it as the letters it would be Bee Äm Tuplavee
87
I still don't get why they made the radar so obvious, it completely ruins the grille
86
The VW Golf interior looks really old. Like the weird glossy metal looking plastic is so tacky 2000's
82
0:44 you cheeky I see the time is 420
75
I appreciate the Chinese brands for naming their cars with these names... It's a nice laugh compared to the frustration of stuff like "bZ4x" or "e:NP1" or "#1"
73
They did, Mat just didn't film them. They actually had a whole lineup of old 5s.
73
@miyabe_k195 Except maybe someone who wants to drive without having to stop to drink water? Maybe? Oh right, no-one cares about hydration, thirst is the way to go.
68
I appreciate at least PSA are still making cars with comfort in mind with Citroën and DS compared to almost every other brand (besides ultra luxury cars) making even their SUVs faux-sport.
64
Actually isn't it soon gonna stop being that way? Cause Opel was just bought by PSA so now Buicks and Holdens wont be based on Opels anymore
63
@Sevy89 The X1, X3 and X5 are just acceptable normal SUVs. He probably means these "coupé" suv as if you can have a coupe with 5 doors.
54
The rear is 100% Fiat Tipo
53
This car looks fine in FR but the other specs look so ridiculously boring, I thought Seat was supposed to be the sporty VAG brand but the Polo and even the Fabia are more interesting looking. And in their cars in general Seat is fast becoming the budget brand when VAG is moving Škoda upmarket.
53
Sooo Nissan launches a new logo, puts in on a bunch of newly revealed cars and even on the cover hiding this new Qashqai... yet the new Qashqai keeps the old badge?
49
I love Hyundai for even giving this little thing the option for ventilated seats. Hyundai offers that with the current i30 too which is unique for the class, and they're extending it to this. And I think this is a great example of how a cheap "feeling" interior doesn't have to also look cheap, you can have fun seat patterns and such.
40
My problem with it is no matter if you buy this or the A-Class the front still looks exactly the same
38
@burnzy3210 They are not exclusively fog lights. There are indicators, reverse lights and brake lights all there. They're just very small so not that effective, Audi, DS, Kia, Hyundai etc. do this too.
35
This beats the competitors easily for me purely because of one thing: image. Audi and BMW drivers are cocks and Mercedes drivers are entitled. Do I want that image? No. No-one drives an Alfa so I don't have an image to be related to.
34
BMW has this weird naming policy where even numbers are wacky cars and uneven numbers are more sedate. So like x3=normal suv, x4 big outside tiny inside "coupe suv", x1=boring glorified estate, x2=very slightly raised hatchback pretending to be an suv
32
I wish they didn't give it the A8 guppy mouth, audi is becoming 00's peugeot
31
You're asking why a modern car has features that are modern trends. Think about that for a second. Something current that looks current. Imagine that.
30
Any reasonable person isn't buying either cause they're both cars you buy with your heart not your head
28
FusionFall You forget that there's several toxic emissions in the manufacturing and shipping of those solar panels and the car
26
This is what we Finns would call an old mans car, no-one buys toyotas except the elderly
23
A clever thing about the sunroof is that the blind roller is actually in the front, not the back like on most cars which means the back doesn't lose headroom and the driver can have the sunshade closed only for the front seats while the rear passengers still get sunlight.
23
Overdesigned like the Countryman. Tone it down a bit.
22
@Hassanw9 yeah but what if I don't want a used big BMW or Merc? People get cars they like.
22
Gullwing doors don't fold and take up more space than regular doors
22
0:06 "exciting" and "Seat Leon" are two things that don't belong together in a sentence.
20
The Yaris isn't that cheap. You can get a Fabia, i20 or Rio for the same price as this and those are miles ahead. The hybrid which is only a slight improvement is 2000£ more than a Polo, Fiesta, Corsa or a Jazz.
19
There probably is and was demand for a daily driver amongst Aston owners but that means/meant something more along the lines of the DBX and not the Cygnet.
19
I honestly love this car so much. Not a huge fan of citroens but this one i like.
18
I mean he did say the Mercedes was superior when it came to cubbies and was a bit better when it came to passengers, and the fridge could be removed.
17
For such a personality oriented car it really has no personality.
17
I don't think that's so much of a bad thing, the previous one was the trend setter for Renault's current styling and they've updated the exterior to match, the previous one doesn't even look that outdated even now.
17
I don't think it looks that bonkers I think it looks just like those cheap Chinese SUVs they've been trying to sell in Europe and Australia
17
Well when did Subaru last come out with a new car in the UK?
16
It looks sooo much better with this shooting brake style rear end, that was the main problem with the regular panamera
14
@raveninnsbruck9166 Helped that they started using other people's engines (Rover K and Toyota engines) rather than their own
14
I really don't see how the Tesla's doorhandles would be any better when it comes to ice?
14
0:45 | - GLE: It doesn't look expensive enough for the pricetag. - X5: It's good, certainly looks like a BMW at least, distinguishable. - Q7: Doesn't look like an SUV at all, looks like an MPV. - XC90: Looks good, but definitely not in that R-design trim, too much fake vent.
14
It is an option but I'm not sure if it's available everywhere
