Yeah but nearly no-one buys an expensive spec hatch.
3
The iPhone 8 is gonna cost more than a MacBook Air. Not exactly a smart choice.
3
The new 2008 was announced I think a week ago or so but carwow didn't make a video on it
3
Old puma might be better but nobody would buy one if they made a new version.
3
Probably when they can actually get cars to review? You know, corona virus and everything?
3
@Reteoz95 I definitely get that but when there's literally no difference between a coupe and any other car it doesn't really have a definition anymore does it
3
Agreed on the 3008 notion.
3
If you order one now it'll have the new badge, but we don't know when this specific review was filmed.
3
That's cause they're not from a time when you're growing up.
3
To be fair Mat was complaining about sliders etc. for climate control more iirc, volume is fine since you control that on the steering wheel anyway but there are no steering controls for A/C.
3
Now I hate the mini countryman levels of modern overdesigning as much as the next guy but the absolute lack of detail in the design of this Mazda 3 makes it just look like an inconspicuous blob.
3
He doesn't take 50 selfies a day probably
3
notformebeaky I wasn't the one who made the supermini comment, save the ted talk for someone else.
3
@dkdanis1340 What difference does haptic feedback make? You still have to look down at the screen to know what you press
3
6:50 This isn't my main issue with the lack of a rear wiper in a lot of modern cars, they always justify the design choice / cost cutting by saying that aerodynamics mean rain doesn't stick on while driving, but besides rain unless you live in a completely barren concrete hellscape with no trees, most likely you'll end up parking near/under trees quite a lot. Which means pollen and sticky sap. That doesn't go away with aerodynamics.
3
Please don't insult the i30 fastback by comparing it to this.
3
You're saying that as if the reason isn't that people are buying them. It's a cycle. People buy SUVs -> companies produce more SUVs -> people buy more SUVs. Regular everyday people enjoy the raised driving position and raised luggage space because most people have back and/or joint problems at some point in their lives, therefore it's nicer to not have to drop down into your car or bend down to load shoppings.
3
I, for one am fully glad if cars are getting faster and quieter at the same time.
3
Yeah it's really a question of whether you appreciate luxury and exclusivity or practicality and performance only
3
Woah cars are cheap in the UK! This car starts at 50k euros where I live
3
200k? Ha the R8 v10 plus starts at just over 360k here
3
Oh wow, ten whole years? What an achievement! That's like... such a long time!
3
@tomasribeiro8020 Let's not move the goal post here, the comment I replied to wasn't talking about the rear cupholders
3
I'm guessing part of the reason is so they can introduce just one new car, since the Evoque is getting old and so is the Sport. So that they can just push out this for both the style/image purposes of the Evoque and the practicality of the Sport instead of making new models of both.
2
It's the circle of life
2
Cause the whole point is trying to make citroen qwerky again since in the last few decades they've become the definition of boring, but with the recent years they're trying to bring it back
2
While the exterior is basic range rover for me (which is gorgeous but not my favourite) The interior is the best I've seen on a production car in recent years.
2
And the polo doesn't look generic? The A1 doesn't look like every other audi?
2
I don't get it what's with BMW and constantly making outdated dashes
2
The shape of the rear is so awkward like a dog hunched over for a number two and it's essentially an overpriced golf on stilts.
2
So if you don't want to have to pay lots more money for extras, get the ford If you don't need to care about money get the jag If you have a family and dont need to care about money get the 'rover
2
Johannes Vossgrag Style. They're trendy. Why do people buy purses when they could buy backpacks? Because they're trendy.
2
I think this is a really good extension to the Kia range, as it fits as an alternative to the C'eed if you want a slightly different style hatchback.
2
The jag looks old
2
Out of these cars, the MINI would be the best if it wasn't so tragically overstyled and overpriced. Although a 5 year old volvo isn't exactly hard to beat.
2
I would get the V40, looks better feels better. (also it doesn't make me look like an ass)
2
doesn't really change that superfast is an incredibly unimaginative and shit name
2
Actually if you watch his 3008 review, that problem was fixed. It was a problem on their 208 and 2008 so they fixed it for 3008 and 5008, so now the steering wheel never obscures the dials.
2
Mazda 6 is the only one sold in the UK and Camry might be coming.
2
How many times do you have to change the thumbnail jeez this is the third one I've seen on this video and it's only been out an hour
2
10:52 I don't get why this is in cool features when it adds overcomplication and exactly the kind of thing car journalists usually would complain about... Like... Wow, they made doors worse? Cool feature
2
> Cupholders a 100£ option Ahh the germans
2
@vroomgc Of course I haven't been in a Tesla, I'm not rich. I don't have money to even start considering a 50k+ car. Anyway, how is tapping a button and then saying "turn up the temperature" more convenient than reaching like 20cm away to turn a dial? You don't have both hands on the steering wheel at the ready anyways, unless you're a driving instructor. (Making a long comment longer, but no, of course I don't have an Echo or G-home)
2
@Jeroenneman I'm sure you've already been told but they exceeded the maximum capacity of the car easily by filling it up with adults and 200kg of stuff in the trunk (which is practically impossible to do in normal use).
2
I would say either the 3-series for just being such a well refined perfect product or the 208 for being revolutionary in its class. The flying spur is fantastic but you can achieve much when you have half a million to spare, the Tesla 3 is an unfinished product and the more radical aspects apply to the brand more generally, if they came out with the model S but more current, it could win. And then the supra is very good, just not the most notable.
2
Subaru just doesn't sell enough cars to make it onto a list of major brands.
2
It's like what GM did a while ago
2
@edvardsimon1072 No, there's separately the CLA and the A-Class sedan, the only real difference seems to be that the CLA has the CLS rear end and the A-Class sedan looks more like the regular A-Class. No idea why they made both but they did anyway.
2
@A real bisexual petrol-head Well yeah, it's a family SUV BUT the only distinction between Seat and the other VAG brands is their slightly sportier image, if that isn't there then what's the point of the Tarraco over a Kodiaq or Tiguan Allspace?
2
The cyber truck isn't a real car yet, it's coming out within a few years.
