  1.  @KrestenGiese  Which is necessary unless you want Toyota to spend way too much money developing a new engine etc and consequently having to price the car at super car levels, unless they hate profit.

  2. Unless the old supra fanboys were gonna buy the new one brand new and not 2nd hand, Toyota really has no reason to cater to them. A new engine or modifying the 2jz for modern regulations would've been astronomically expensive to the point this would have to be supercar priced. This car as it is makes financial sense.
