  1. The statement "first luxury drop top suv" is simply marketing and isn't necessarily true. Range rovers are a mix between premium and luxury, and the nissan murano convertible (which has been on sale for a few years now) is very easily classed as premium if not luxury. So range rover certainly aren't late but they aren't the pioneers.
