Obviously these team tests aren't meant to highlight practicality as much but my biggest issues with this are the bonnet is far too long, which means too much of the footprint of the car is sacrificed to that rather than cabin or trunk space, which the EX30 lacks severely compared to rivals, plus the total lack of a HUD or gauge cluster and overenthusiastic minimalism are other drawbacks. That said, it is modern and stylish plus Volvo cred might explain why it's exploded in popularity as a company car.
