  1. This assumes there is only one option for a god. If you believe in your specific god and die only to find out you've worshipped the wrong god, do you think you'll have any more mercy than the atheist?

  3. Someone else from a different religion or sect would also think this way. Do you believe in the right god? Surely your judgement wouldn't be any more merciful for worshipping the wrong god than not believing? So why are you special?

  5. I was completely unaware that the concept of a higher being was possible until I was asked "Do you believe in god?" when I was in school. I had to go home and ask my mum "What's a god and do I believe in it?" and she told me that only I know what I believe in.

  6. @Magtibay Annabelle But that chance is irrelevant unless you believe that your religion is or has a high chance of being the correct one. Why is yours special out of the countless other ones?

  7. I don't think self describing agnostics are necessarily "cowards" or whatever but I definitely have massive disrespect for the specific fence sitting type (also in politics) who go "every side is stupid!" and then proudly sit on their high horse.
