  3. It's the same principle as cars. Something has to take the impact. Modern cars crunch into tissue paper in a crash while some old cars stayed mostly intact even at higher speeds, but if the car doesn't get destroyed, the force goes through your body instead. If you crash head first into a pole and the helmet breaks, that same force would've otherwise gone through you.

The original coffee case from way back when is sad in the sense that the woman got somehow basically twisted into a frivolous lawsuit, which, in reality the coffee was just way way hotter than coffee has any reason to be, as McDonald's is still infamous for handing out boiling hot coffee to customers that they have to wait forever to be safe to sip. The woman wasn't looking for a paycheck, she just needed her medical care covered and honestly she would've deserved more. But now she's the face of the sue happiness of the states.

  6. Exactly! Alcohol alone does not fundamentally change who people are. All it can do in that department is reveal who that person is without inhibitions and overthinking. That's why people who already live out their lives true to themselves loud don't change much when drunk, but reserved and sheltered people become loud and emotional. Alcohol won't turn you into a monster, it'll only reveal the monster you really are.
