  1. Exactly! Alcohol alone does not fundamentally change who people are. All it can do in that department is reveal who that person is without inhibitions and overthinking. That's why people who already live out their lives true to themselves loud don't change much when drunk, but reserved and sheltered people become loud and emotional. Alcohol won't turn you into a monster, it'll only reveal the monster you really are.

  2. Yeah alcohol doesn't magically make somebody a horrible person, more typically it removes their inhibitions and "frees" them. Hencewhy people who are shameless already tend to be exactly the same while drunk and reserved people become loud and emotional while drunk.
