  1. Oh I love spotting for cars like this. I don't really get excited or care about supercars n stuff so I break my nack in traffic over an SSR, Rover Streetwise, Brera or a cosworth scorpio instead

Interestingly Cadillac didn't sell the Catera in Europe as far as I'm aware, since it was built off of an already extant European GM vehicle the Omega so the Cadillac version would've been pointless. It probably would've been a more apt. model for Europe compared to what Cadillac was selling here but it would've been an obvious rebadge.

  3.  @ForeverHorrorLover  At least the Catera was based on a sort of luxury car (Opel's most premium model, rwd) the Cimarron was based on the Cavalier/Ascona. In any case both were cynical rebadge exercises.

  4.  @ForeverHorrorLover  Yeah, definitely not a car you'd expect a Cadillac to share a platform with. It's the same GM J-body economy car platform used for the Ascona C, the (Chevy) Cavalier and it's Buick etc rebadges, Isuzu Aska, etc. That platform was used in GM economy cars until 2005, shockingly.
