  1. Most people in any community in general parrot the opinions of reviewers and popular figures, largely for the sake of banter and that's just life I guess. I will say, putting boring speed onto just EVs is kinda unfair even if rooted in truth, because let's not pretend that most performance versions of cars in general aren't numbed by cheap electric steering, bad suspension, fake engine noise etc.
