  1. I think Acura is still struggling to sort of pick itself up from being essentially foreign market Hondas. A lot of 2000's - 2010's Acuras were if not straight rebadged then almost identical to European market Hondas, and if it's just an economy car in Europe why would it suddenly turn premium stateside, and a lot of their products weren't premium on any level (RSX, ILX, TL, CSX) so trying to now build a premium image ehhhh

  2.  @JonathanMoosey  Nowhere is this more exemplified than the fact that for the longest time, Acuras were pretty often just European market Hondas with an Acura badge. If it's a regular economy car in Europe, what makes Honda think it'll suddenly be a premium car in the states?
