Yes, the UK tory government has signed a deal with Rwanda to send asylum seekers that aren't allowed access to the UK to Rwanda instead, sending them across the world without ability to return to the UK. It's one of the reasons the UK government wants to not be under jurisdiction of the European Court of Human Rights, as they staunchly oppose the deal.

  2. Does Macron not have more important business to attend to at home? Maybe I'm cynical, but it seems he'd like to be seen as a peace broker right now that his image is so bad.
