I'm not an expert on negotiations, I'm just a YT commenter, but I don't see a China-led negotiation being succesful either unless the Ukrainian war effort is completely exhausted by then in which case it could happen. I don't otherwise see Ukraine accepting any concessions to Russia that Russia could later use to re-invade years down the line, besides a promise to not join NATO or the EU but neither of those were on the table before the invasion anyways.
