  1. You're American and want to try and tell Eastern Europe what's going on here? Russian TV has publicly (not made up by anyone else, they admit it and proudly claimed they saved them!) paraded children they've taken from Ukraine and assimilated into Russia in the war anniversary concert, yet it's somehow US imperialism those children are suffering from? Americans need to shut up about conflicts across the globe. Eastern Europeans have feared Russia for centuries, yet it's the Americans who know the truth, right? The arrogance...

The Georgian law would force any NGO or independent media with above 20% foreign donations/funding (Native funding in Georgia is mostly reserved for pro-Government media) which could just mean getting 20% of ad revenue from viewers abroad to register as foreign agents. Being a foreign agent means signing up to a registry through which the government can monitor and access all information about everyone part of that media or NGO and people closely related to those members. This means the government will know any social movements or anti-government narratives before they come out and can shut any critical voices down, leaving no space for any media independence or collective organizing.
