Over 90% of their navy can't sail further than 300 miles in war time maneuvers (not sailing very slow in a straight line), they can barely make it to the Philippines. Also, by raw tonnage (the actual SIZE of all the ships comprising the navy) they're very far behind. Add in the corruption coupled with untested, unskilled, and very, very under trained personnel and there isn't even a comparison to make. Japan has the world's 2nd largest navy for comparison (and the US and Japan train constantly on land, sea, and air together). This would apply to all branches of their military. Give them another 100 years and MAYBE then there is an actual contest, but probably still no.

With the collapse in real estate prices (plus the 70% of Chinese household savings and wealth held in real estate) and home sales plummeting, so goes the economy. Plus the lowest RMB evaluation in 30 years puts extreme pressure on china's bond market (that's their enormous debt) making the debt much harder to pay off, and officially reported youth unemployment is 22% (actually closer to 46%). All of those coupled with capital flight leaving China, businesses leaving China, a 70% fall in birth rates in less than 6 years and one of the fastest aging populations in human history and you begin to see the financial cliff the CCP is going over. Some phones, cars and a few planes will not fix even one of those single problems. Cheers!

There are large swine fever cases all over surrounding countries but again, the CCP lies and claims zero in China. Fertilizer for growing agriculture will become even more expensive this year and enormous costs next year. Expect very large food shortages in less than 2 years.

Lethality could come from a citizen who openly criticized the gov't, or a group of villagers living downstream from a failing dam, a sinkhole that swallows your car and there's no time to extract you only time to fill in the hole, it could come from contaminated baby formula, or vaccines that aren't vaccines at all. Lethality from the CCP Virus comes in many forms, but never as a result of Covid, that would make the gov't look bad.
