This lady is 1000% propaganda, but don't take my word for it, take former Vice Premiere Li Keqiang's word for it as he was the CCP's top educated and most knowledgeable economist. In 2020, Li Keqiang stated that "the mainland economy had stopped actual growth around the year 2013." He also said "in 2020 that 600 million Chinese — 40 percent of the population, were living in abject poverty on less than $141 USD/month." These comments caused Dictator Xi massive embarrassment and he had Li Keqiang permanently "erased" in 2023. With the recent massive spike in youth unemployment (they stopped reporting numbers after youth unemployment reached 56%), manufacturing exodus, local and provincial debt insolvency (using Local Government Financing Vehicles in just 1 example they overbuilt housing units by 1.5 BILLION TO 3 BILLION UNITS over their current population), the rapid decline in currency evaluation, etc, etc, those numbers are becoming much, much worse. If you're a Peking University graduate with a Masters in Economics with over 10 years spent as Vice Premiere of the CCP then by all means, you're extremely qualified to talk on their financial matters in great detail. @kshen7485 that must be why they "efficiently" overbuilt housing by 1.5-3 Billion units for the entire population effectively wiping out generations of family savings because it was the only investment that didn't collapse every 7 to 8 years like their stock market does. They lock capital into the system because the gov't is terrified of capital flight, which every citizen would do if legally allowed to invest outside the mainland.

Welding millions of people into their apartments during 'Zero Covid' and letting them starve to death never happened? Real abject poverty has been eliminated? No on all 3 of these? Exactly.
