Young people from Central America is only 1 part of US immigration. Legal immigration accounts for many younger people and families, most highly educated and productive people that are some of the brightest around the world. @mickfitz76 energy prices to manufacture the product is almost as important as labor costs. North America is 100% energy self sufficient. North America has cheap, secure and unending energy to help offset labor costs. China is the exact opposite. Also Mexico's labor cost versus productivity is far beyond china's current labor costs versus productivity. China is now experiencing rapid decline due to demographics, value added economy, lack of business friendly environment, wolf warrior diplomacy, etc, etc, etc. No one wants anything to due anymore with CCP incompetence. They've been doing it for decades and they are the #1 exporter of food worldwide. #2 "The East" will continue to be fine, only China will have catastrophic collapse. South Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, Indonesia, India, Philippines, Japan, etc will all be fine and yes, South Korea, Taiwan, Japan and a few others have contributed greatly to the world as a whole. #3 China has only stolen from the world, they've not contributed anything that any other country couldn't have done with Western technology and investment over the last 40yrs. The CCP has done much more harm than good worldwide. #4 Many times the world has reached out to help China become a nation that actually cares about it's citizens. At every turn, the CCP has shut down any outside help leaving the vast majority of their population just as poor as Chairman Mao's days. Cheers!

@rogerwu6961 #1 Indigenous people were killing each other and stealing each other's lands, children, and resources long before 'US Farmers' were on the scene #2 modern day China has some of the worst arable land in the world meaning their huge food imports don't give way to large scale farming. Their food comes from outside China (like the US, one of China's largest food importers) so the farmers able to actually grow on the mainland are small scale due to the horrible land quality and it also helps to keep citizens busy so they don't overthrow the government. Nice try at reasoning Pink, stick to brown nosing the CCP though. 😂😂😂

Communism has been tried in 44 separate counties over the past 105 years and not a single country has lasted longer than 75 years. In fact, more citizens of Communist countries have been killed by their own government than all wars fought world wide over the last 150yrs combined. Almost every Chinese province is bankrupt, that's why banks are stealing citizens deposits. Finances at the national level of the CCP is in just as bad shape with all the 'off the books/hidden' debt they are carrying. There is no bailout coming to any size CCP bank, big or small. This only accelerates to critical failure.

Their land is some of the least arable land in the world requiring massive amounts of fertilizers and additives to even be remotely productive at scale. It's cheaper for them to import food from the US and others because of the poor quality land. This is easily one of China's greatest weaknesses among many, many, many others.

The majority of US manufacturing is moving to on shore, near shore, and friend shoring. The US's #1 trading partner is Mexico. India will be SE Asia's mid to low value add economy the same as China was. Cutting edge technology and high value add economy will not exist in India. The US "played" with the Soviet Union and it collapsed without a shot ever being fired. The US not only has the financial strength of the largest economy ever known to mankind, it's all the allies the US has through decades of economic coperation and strategic military partnerships that terrifies the Paper Dragon.
