@aquarius5719 Not even close. The F35's current production total is over 1,000 aircraft, the J20 is at 200, a 5 to 1 difference. Also the F35 has just shot down several Iranian cruise missles, the first to do so, that were flying very low and very fast to avoid detection and all were still intercepted and destroyed while the F35's still remained completely stealth. The F-35 has an incredible radar that can distinguish and track ballistic missiles well over 800 miles away. Also the F-35s detecting and tracking missiles will feed that data back to the network where combat AI can generate missile tracks and give commanders multiple intercept options. It's not even an apples to oranges comparison, it's a trash bag to oranges comparison. Cheers.

@kamsunleong6648 the F35 in question malfunctioned because of a highly pressurized fuel hose vibrating loose because of a rare systems phenomenon involving harmonic resonance. @amortalbeing As the US has already proved it can track, intercept, and destroy hypersonic missles, you missed the entire point of the post. It isn't F-35 vs J-20, it's that ALL the military hardware can be intercepted and destroyed. All of China's "stealth" planes can and have been located and tracked, even by the Indian Army. The PLA is still 40-50 years behind in this technology no matter what propaganda the CCP pushes, it's still complete junk. How many cruisers, destroyers and submarines do you think are included in just one US carrier strike group? Or all the military bases stationed all over the Indo-Pacific with the same defensive and offensive capabilities? This doesn't even include all the F-35s, F-22s, F-18s, F-16s, F-15s, B-1 bombers, B-2 bombers, B-21 Bombers (in 2024), and the multitude of fully autonomous drones equally capable of tracking and destroying any volley of missiles, planes or boats encroaching any target, any military ship or any land base. These systems have been combat tested in real life hostile engagements and have proven time and time again their effectiveness. The PLA has not proven any effectiveness at any time or at any place, it's just wishing it can be effective. Again, just because the PLA tried to reverse engineer Western technology doesn't mean it's even remotely close to being effective. It's still junk. Cheers.

@amortalbeing US built their own self-launched, fully functional Space Station in 1973. CCP is only 50 years behind that civilization milestone, again. US Hypersonic missles were designed, built and fielded in the early 1980's. They were shelved because of cost vs performance. CCP is still only 40 yrs behind, again. Enjoy the view.

@amortalbeing study hypersonic missile literature and why they're an overstated threat. Everytime a Hypersonic Glide Vehicle makes a maneuver in flight (turning to avoid interception) it loses a lot of speed (simple physics) and becomes low hypersonic or even supersonic (below Mach 5), meaning even much slower and easier to intercept. It's all just propaganda to inflate the heads of ultra nationalists, meaning it's useless. Cheers! 🤕🤕🤕
