@pyrioncelendil no, they would very quietly take the free aid and then sell it to another country. CCP has to keep itself fed. Chinese people, not so much.

@louprentz8554 you are correct, unfortunately Chinese citizens won't be able to afford ploop houses either. 70 percent of Chinese household wealth is held in real estate. (The comparable number in the U.S. is less than half that, investments being much more diversified). China's population collapse means much less real estate buyers (more ghost cities) which means China cannot make its transition to a consumer-based economy when consumers as a whole have shoved so much of their wealth into properties that will often end up being worthless. This is the Last Chinese Generation. Well done CCP.

Common prosperity = suffering for everyone.

This flood caused local GDP to grow 300% overnight. It's the Chinese Miracle at work right before your eyes.

@davidhynes when the CCP does something, they do it to impress people, like building the world's largest hunk of garbage. The 3 Gorges Dam is one of the worlds' largest hunk of garbage. Well done CCP.

@art7822 every mainland Chinese city's sewage systems are complete garbage. Chongqing isn't anywhere close to the tsunami, has billions of dollars invested into making it a "sponge city," and gets wiped out with floods EVERY SINGLE YEAR, AND IT'S IN CHINA'S WESTERN INTERIOR. These aren't the exceptions, they're the rule. Tofu Nation, Tofu Future. Cheers!!!!

There are no functioning, intelligent officials left in the CCP because Xi purged them all. An entire country is now being run by a man with an elementary school education with no one left to tell him no. Enjoy!!!

@tonyatgoogle6076 he may be referring to the extreme over building of dams across mainland China compounding the monsoon season's effects. Wang Weiluo, famous Chinese hydrologist, has predicted these results and many others to perfection. Of course he is attacked relentlessly for being correct. Cheers.
