I agree with you 100% but sadly I imagine they're the using this for their new military push into Eastern Ukraine. Russians love anniversary dates and the 1yr anniversary of the start of the invasion is 10 days away and you're now seeing a renewed push in E. Ukraine. The good news is, the Russians are now losing close to a 1,000 soldiers every day (due to Bakhmut, etc) and it's the highest rate since the start of the invasion and the highest rate since WW2. With the influx of Western tanks, Bradley's, missle systems and other advanced weapons with fully trained Ukrainians operating them, they next 3-4 months should show Russian losses hitting hundreds of thousands. The world is pulling for your families and countrymen, and hope to see a forever free Ukraine. God speed.

@BartimaeusAurelius the fact that a supposed 2-3 week war against the world's 2nd largest army is now going into its 2nd year is a victory in and of itself. I agree with you that the actual war is far from over, but the heart and determination the Ukrainians have shown is unmatched. Cheers.

@jomamma1750 Russians are now averaging 847 KIA's per day with German, UK and US intelligence. The Ukrainian Army is also suffering increased losses than earlier rates because of incredibly concentrated fighting in Bakhmut and a few other eastern areas. This doesn't include the amount of Ukrainian civilians being executed as Russians are trying to advance in these places. Cheers.

@ahsrahoar this is not his argument against oil, he lives in the area and as you might have noticed, this a giant environmental disaster with long lasting, very, very nasty health affects in the area he lives in. Now just because the derailment released an enormous cloud of a toxic gas called phosgene (which is a WW1 chemical warfare weapon) doesn't mean it's harmful, it's just down right deadly. But don't worry, Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg and the EPA has said every thing is fine and the departments will eventually think about long term health studies of the chemical grade weapon released into the area. I'm sure many large, high profile lawyers have already descended into the area so hopefully you can all sue the responsible entities (gov't and business) back into the Stone Age for letting a very preventable accident occur on innocent people. @dnas5629 he waited almost 2 weeks to talk about the the CCP spy balloon shot down over S. Carolina to report the details on it accurately, hopefully this be a similar situation as intial reports are very conflicting as to the severity of it, in both the short and long term affects from it, none which are good. It's business and gov't trying to save their arses. Time will tell if Peter has the stones to spill the beans on a massive environmental disaster.

@jomamma1750 also, Ukrainians may be doomed, but the Russian Army will cease to exist in any meaningful measure moving forward so congratulations to Putin for setting the Russian people back generations as they won't even exist at all in the next 50 or so years. Bravo on destroying an entire nation of Russians who deserved better. You should be proud of erasing any Russian future.

@jomamma1750 unfortunately the completely inaccurate analysis you just made fails to account for the very capable and extremely high tech level of surveillance on a scale that no former war has ever seen. If your false assessment helps you to cope with the giant loss of Russian soldiers who, the majority of, would rather have been home with their families instead of being unpaid, unprepared, unequipped, unled and waiting for a body bag to take them back home (if the Russians even bother to collect their lifeless body which is extremely rare) then have at it and enjoy your denial.
