  8.  @blackn7150  yeah, the US made possible the rise of Mainland China from a pre-industrialized agrarian society to a strengthened industrial manufacturing society (in under 40yrs) to counter the Soviet Union and help win the the Cold War. Globalization was a military and financial result of the US giving global protection to allies to trade and manufacture goods with a degree of security and free trade to weaken the USSR. If China wants out of globalization now, by all means, let them have at it. Let them try to maintain their extremely complex, extremely dangerous and extremely fragile supply chains so they can say Xi walks on water. Or, they can shut up, enjoy their food and energy security, and enjoy the largest economic growth in their history. Either way, it doesn't look good for the CCP's new direction, even without Taiwan entering the conversation. Cheers and best of luck Xi!!!
