  1. I think better deal is to cut out the rusted part and weld a new part onto it! Doing what you did is just a temporary solution, in half a year or a year the rust will have spread more underneath. Been there done that. If you want to have fixed the right way spend a quite few euro's and dollars that is if you want to keep it for a little longer,otherwise get rid of it!
