  4. Most of this very reliable Toyota's have ended in Africa that's the reason why you don't see them in Europe anymore. They are extremely reliable and in Africa they drive them around for another 20-25 years with bo problems.

  5. One of my favorite cars ever together with the DS, I would love to own an XM estate. Citroen has forgotten how to make cars these days, love the older stuff,distinctive, a godess out of time, love the XM.

  8. You should see it in a positive light, all that rust has made your car lighter so you gained some more speed. I had a Swift Saloon 1.6 GLX in 6 months time even after getting rust away it started to rust like made.Luckily I was able to sell it quick.

  9. At some moments I thought the car would fall apart. I squeezed myself once at the dealer in a '86 Suzuki Alto , I was molested by it as I tried to get in the rear seat. It was a 3-doors. The seat smacked me in my face, never again I would sit in that nasty little car. Coming from someone who owned and owns a Suzuki, first I had a Swift 1.6 sedan GLX and now a 2001 Suzuki Balenoi 1.8 GTX.   10. Never liked Opel or GM, I had my drivinglessons in Opel Vectra, but never even tempted to buy one, even if it was the only car. Sames goes for VW. I prefer Japanese cars, Ford I like not all of em but some.

Reminds me of that Clip made by ZZ-top Legs.Same kind of shape car, I trully like it very much, and people complaining of hard plastic?Well 300 years ago cars where you see bare metal, I am not going to hug a dashboard of a car anyway nor am I going to sleep on the dash either.

Wonderful cars, need to try one,shame that they are quite heavy and so in the Netherlands you pay a lot of money to the government owning one, except if it's 40 years old...Love it keep the enthousiasm and stay approachable.   14. Against rust, use Owatrol rust inhibitor, search for it, it's used on boats and ships! Works very well use it on in or outside, Marvellous stuff.When you buy a new car for hollow spaces etc there is Mike Sanders grease, you warm it up and spray it hollow space etc Very good stuff.

  16. Plastic taillight can be easily repaired with instant glue and adding baking powder to it to fill up the cracks, sanding with 1000 sandpaper polish as new, will be sealed great and no morerainwater getting in.

  21. When you weld, take sure that the wiringharnas inside the car is out of the way, so you don't fry the wiring. You wouldn't be the 1st nor the last that after welding some electronics go out of service or show some poltergeist activities.
