  1. Zelensky was a real comic. In fact he campaigned and won on promising to make peace with Russia. Then the CIA/Victoria Nuland told Zelensky who's boss. In April Zelensky tried to strike a peace deal with Russia. Boris Johnson flew in and told him Uncle Sam is not ready for peace. Zelensky is seeing his country destroyed and his people die and knows he's totally powerless to stop it.

  2. Russia has already telegraphed what it will do. The US has also telegraphed the 1st steps. Russia will soon send a warning to Ukraine stop attacking Russian controled areas or they'll use tactical nukes. At some point the threat will be very specific. The US will order the Ukrainians to fight on, Russia is bluffing. Russia might say a certain city has 48hrs to evacuate, it will be destroy and unusable as a logistics hub to supply Ukrain's army. The US will say Russia is bluffing and there will be catastrophic consequences if Russia uses Nukes. Russia will then wipe out the city. Exactly what the US wants to have happen. What is the US's move at that point? Not known. It might be a missile from Ukraine to the city of Moscow. It may be a US military blockade of all Russian shipping and air traffic out of Russia (except maybe to China). Planners in both the US and Russia are working out what if scenarios. But what ever it will be a major escalation. And just as Europe's economy is an unintended casualty of the current sanctions, the next stage will have much larger unintended consequences. A global depression as bad as 1929 is possible. The US debt is 140% of GDP, collapse hasn't happened because the dollar is the world's reserve currency. But with Europe's economy imploding if the rest of the world outside the "west" stops using the dollar, hyper inflation could hit the US.

  3.  @warmlycalculated390  lots of people talk as if Putin is bluffing. Why? because if Ukrainian soldiers thought he wasn't bluffing they would quit and Putin will win without using Nukes. The US has to keep the fight going and then Putin will use Nukes. Sacrificing Ukrainian lives is something the US is willing to do. Blinken threatened unspecific "catastrophic" consequences. We will have to wait to see what they are. Russian planners are doing lots of "what if" games and are planning responses to what Blinken will do.
