  1. All part of the Thucydidies trap. A rising power must be crushed by the established power. The question is, is it too late? The US neocons are not shy about using military force. Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, the Balkans in the 1990's and of course Iraq, where the US fabricated the iie of WMDs to justify an invastion that in the end killed 1 million Iraqi civilians. The US neocons are not afraid to use military force. and would not hesitiate even a second if it knew it would win.
