Because US big oil is selling LNG to Europe, consumer nat gas prices in california have tripled. I would imagine nat gas prices in Germany have quadrupled. This along with the German car companies being 10yrs too late in switchikng to electric vehicles means that Germany's most important industry autos, will collapse by 2030. But it's not autos but Chemicals, glass, fertilier etc that will see German companies move to China and the US. The German people will have a significantly lower standard of living, just to the US neocons will retain the power to invade a country like Iraq on a whim and kill 1 million civilians with total impunity. Except even with decoupling, it's far from clear the US empir will be intact by 2040.
