  1. The retoric is to help Tsai's party in the upcomming local elections. But it's likely to backfire. The Taiwanese people have never wanted war with China or to trigger war by declaring independence (>80% do not want to declare independenct in the near future). But now they look at Ukraine and say , we don't want that. But western propaganda keeps chugging along. We'll see which propaganda effort wins in when the local elections are over in Taiwan. Will the Taiwanese people be scared into voting for Tsai, or will they be scared Tsai will get them into a war and vote against her party.
