  1. While what PE companies do is reprehensable, the reason this works is because of the way wall street prices the value of a company. The companies bought by PE firms have more dollar value being gutted/destroyed than their stock market valuation. Beyond the $ value of the "pieces" of the company is the value the company has to the community its located in, providing jobs, taxes, stable economic life. Our stock market dramatically under values these companies. But what the PE firms do to American will soon be multiplied by 10X to the country of Argentina.
