The problem is that Hezbolla might enter the war in a major way. The only country that can influence Hezbolla is Iran. So Iran is being threatened. A carrier battle group is in the Persian gulf. China can't afford Iran to be destroyed because they buy 1.5 mlilion barrels of oil/day from Iran. So the most gonzo thing to happen is 6 Chinese warships are now in the Persian gulf. If Netanyahu allows Hamas to survive in a cease fire his hard right wing will feel totally betryed.
