  1. Who wins, who loses? Both lose. But if Canada caves in to the bully, this is just the 1st of many steps. If the US public doesn't feel the pain of the tariff war, they will not demand a change in US policy. These anti-canadian policies are backed by congress. And canadians need to encourage US voters to vote those in congress out. The problem is the democratic party is just as bad as the Maga gop.

  7. Doug Ford threatened 25% export tariffs on electrcity. But he backed down. Carney can also remove the 100% tariffs from Chinese EVs. Vance is correct, the US holds most of the cards. Canada wants to preserve its sovereignty. But it never had it. When the US ordered Canada to put 100% tariffs on Chinese EVs Canada obeyed. When US ordered Canada kidnap the CFO of Huawei, Canada obeyed. When the US order an end to the Trucker strike in Canada, Canada obeyed. When US ordered Canada to buy F/35s Canada obeyed. Most Americans are on Canada's side of this dispute. But does that matter. In the end the Trump admin will relax some of its demands and Canada will agree to transfer billions of dollars of wealth to the US in return for not being made to grovel on it knees.

  8. Last time, Doug Ford wanted to throw Mexico under the bus to appease Trump. Ford doens't have the guts to do it. Trump will come back with bigger tarrif or something else and Ford will fold.
