  1. No chance for peace. This is in fact a very likely scenario. But what the comments here are missing is that this is really a proxy war. And while Ukraine is being destroyed and Russia and Europe's economies suffering, the US is not suffering at all. There is no pressure for US to agree to a peace. The death and destrucion in Ukraine is tragic. But this is a cost the US neocons are willing to bear. But we'll see what the winter offensive brings. Certainly a lot of blood.
