sorry styx. i lived through that era. i remember the malaise, nihilism, and economic woes before reagan got elected and saw, in real time, reagan (and his administration of course), fix the issues. he was by no means perfect, but the turnaround in american pride he engineered was almost miraculous.

@KenVic02 the trump era reminds me a lot of the reagen era. oh both sides are much louder and less civil, but in terms of things getting done, it feels a lot like back then. i hope we can reverse this pell mell rush for the cliff. because as reagan like to observe, were the shining city on the hill.
