  2. utter bullshit. the real power of the nra comes from its members and the silent majority of americans who value their 2nd amendment liberties. the only "fear mongering" and "inciting" they do is educate the 2A community as to WHATS ACTUALLY IN THE DAMN GUN CONTROL BILLS!!! THATS IT! the 2a community then speaks quietly and wields their vote on election day, and anti gun lobby politicians lose their seats. and there is no such thing as "gun violence". a firearm is an inanimate object with no will, or intention of its own. there is only violence where the PERPETRATOR chooses a firearm, and violence where they perpetrator chooses another implement. in any case, according to the cdc (hardly a bastion of 2a support) 2.5+ million people defend themselves with a firearm per year.
