cats arent evil at all regarding hunting for fun. through their collective memories they remember how depopulated the world was during the black plague. they got very lonely without hoomans to pet them, feed them, play with them, and generally adore them. so they resolved to never let it happen again. so they diligently hunt rodent species so as to preclude a recurrence of their terrible loneliness. they occasionally drop us off a rodent carcass to remind us what a debt of gratitude we all owe them. yea cats!!!
