Society of Mind by ai pioneer Marvin Minsky posits consciousness is constructed by numerous pattern recognition 'actors' in the brain coming together and fighting over dominance. Hallucinogenics sounds like giving some of the actors way more prominence or power than they would normally have. Visual hallucinations sound like an AI weighting matrix that was carefully 'trained' or relaxed on an image but then having someone go into the matrix and arbitrarily changing some of the values. A bunch of mathy stuff. Your brain is heavily wired for pareidolia, :-/, and when it detects that pattern, it fires a neuron. What if that neuron started firing without the pattern being detected? Other parts of the brain would kick in to make sense of the situation... hilarity would ensue

What if this is not self inflicted? There is still hope

Gnosticism is the Root of Modernity Its influence has been so extensive that if you attempt a philosophical, political or theological discussion today, with virtually any person on the planet, you will quickly discover that the other person’s ideas will be entirely grounded in Gnostic mythology. Modernity has become the most successful Gnostic myth in history.

Why the Future Does Not Need Us by Bill Joy. Also Kurzweil talked about what happens when civilizations clash with greater more powerful civilizations.

@rokkarokka120 I don't know very much about conspiracies, but if I had to bet I would say Fabians have had the biggest influence in the world for the last 140 years. Influence, not control. Socialism is a secularized version of Gnosticism.

Honest question...what are you lacking (materially). I'm genX, didn't grow up with a lot of money. I worked and saved 3 years in grade school to buy a computer. 90% of things I wan now I can go to craigslist and get for free. I don't have very much, but am not lacking anything I bought a dv player last week on ebay for $9. This was a save for months purchase for earlier generations, now buying things is barely more than an afterthought

@GreatWhiteCat That is satan's purpose. Satan means opposer in Hebrew. Our purpose is to win

@GreatWhiteCat Check out the videos of people doing homesteading. That life is not far away, expensive or difficult to achieve. I know many people who've done it with little to no resources. It might not be as idyklic as it looks or easy, but it's possible. People do this instinctively and any hardships you may encounter are an order of magnitude smaller than what people faced in the past. Get a couple of friend together in the same situation , buy a $10,000 dump of a homestead on zillow and rebuild it.

What Are We To Do With Our Lives? was a plan from the 1920's as a plan for humanity by the elite. Read it and see

@swedichboy1000 There is a concerted censorship around this topic and adjacent and it has nothing to do with any popular conspiracies, but deeper. There are some, but very few people are aware

@ Yes, but you cannot vision how your life should be, so it will never change. You have no goals or know how to achieve them even if you did.

Tolkien was South African. He grew up in a time (and very very close to) Rhodes whom is written much about in the works of Carroll Quigley. The parallels are unmistakable.

@HunterStiles651 From my studies, I think it's very relevant, but can't say much. The rabbit hole goes deep

@panwu6602 Yes. Think of those dystopian movies. In Logan's Run, it was normal and socially acceptable to kill yourself be the age of 30. When you are taught something from birth, it takes a lot of genetic powering to overcome that which is why dictators, think Hitler youth or Marx, want control of the children. Or our current school system that was set up to train factory workers. It's not normal for 99.99999% of history to wake up at 5am, take a shower and travel an hour to screw things together, but this was seen as normal and socially desirably for a few post ww2 generations.
