  2. As a techy person from since about birth, I've never seen anything technical about "big tech". Tech to me is about mitigating cosmic ray impacts in eeprom chips or scaling up 14nm yields in humid environments

  3. I've only used twitter a couple of times, but I did not see any fundamental difference from a mail client with a web front end. It's something a competent engineer could d build over a weekend, at least to first approximation. Somebody could show me where I'm wrong.

  4.  @bmay81  Twitter is basically netnews with a web interface. It was written in the 1980's by I think 2 people and has zero staff running distributively.
