  1. "Printing" money causes inflation. Money is not actually printed, it is loaned into existence. When you pay taxes, the loan is repaid and the debt is destroyed.

  2. Taxes do not pay for things. At least in the US, the majority of government spending is through borrowed money. The government does not need to tax, it can just borrow money. The amount they can borrow is infinite.
