  1. When I was in college a million years ago, a group of friends were talking before the start of class. One of my friends was talking about how he had gone to the mall and was telling about how a person in kiosk was explaining to him why he needed a cell phone (this was a decade before the smart phone). He explained that the kiosk guy told him that once he tried it ,he could never give it up to which he replied, 'sounds like drugs. why would I want that?'

  2. No, most people watched tv. Same drug, but not as potent. Escapism. Brain dopamine release. It creates the same addiction as gambling.

  3. I've been 'stuck on the side of the road' three times. Two of them turned into great adventures, two of the more memorable events of my life that I can still tell stories of twenty years later. Experience I would not have had if I could have called for help and been picked up an hour later. Deus ditat
